Zoba’ah (زوبعة): The Whirlwind
Based on drawings of the jinn Zoba’ah (زوبعة) from the 14th and 16th centuries, the Iranian-born artist Morehshin Allahyari has 3D modeled the sculpture Zoba’ah (زوبعة): The Whirlwind for the Museum of Contemporary Art’s virtual collection.
A Feeling of Healing by Jacolby Satterwhite
PLEASE NOTE: The exhibition in Roskilde has ended, but you can still explore the second part of A Feeling of Healing at HFKD Art Center until January 31.
The Museum of Contemporary Art in Denmark proudly presents the exhibition A Feeling of Healing by the American artist Jacolby Satterwhite.
We move through computer-generated worlds, a nightclub, and oceanic coastal areas in Satterwhite's imaginative works, tapping into sources ranging from Nigerian mythology, video games, pop culture, and art history. Via virtual reality, videos, and neon, the artist shows us how dance and music can be used as shields by marginalized persons against their treatment by society.
The exhibition extends from a nightclub in Roskilde as far as Holstebro, where the work We Are in Hell When We Hurt Each Other can be experienced as a satellite at HFKD Art Center, allowing people in both West and East Denmark to enjoy Jacolby Satterwhite’s works.
The exhibition is on display:
Holstebro: November 18 - January 31, 2022
Roskilde: November 17 - January 13, 2022 (has ended)

The Wrestlers by Ditte Ejlerskov
The Museum of Contemporary Art was established in 1991, born out of the Fluxus related festival Festival of Fantastics in the 1980s. The museum has historically supported the production of experimental, sound, and performance art, and has a small contemporary collection. In 2021, it became an itinerant museum, without a permanent exhibition building.
The museum produces workshops and materials, centered on contemporary art and aesthetic learning, that enable children and young people to relate to a changing world.
